This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tip. We have a hitch height measurement of 20 inches. Now, keep in mind that this measurement may vary depending on tire size, aftermarket accessories and the hitch itself.Well slide the shank of the ball mount into the receiver tip of the hitch, line up the pin hole and install our pin and clip. As you can see, the adjustable ball mount allows us to interchange between three different size balls, 1-7/8 inch ball, a 2 inch ball and a 2-5/16 inch ball. more

Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler, well be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball Cushion 6-Way Multi Hitch Ball Mount for 2 inch hitches, rated at 10,000 pounds, part number CAB-6W. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch and securing it with the pin and clip. Now since this ball mount has no drop or rise, if your vehicles hitch height matches your trailers ride height, this ball mount would be appropriate for you. Now with the ball mount on this position, you can access the 2-5/16 of an inch ball at the top. We can now rotate the ball mount to the left or to the right to access the either 1-7/8 inch ball or the 2 inch ball. Now if you flip it over toward the pin and at the top portion of the ball mount, you can see that once we remove this over clip, the pin cannot be removed from the ball mount. Therefore it can only be used at the bottom of the ball mount. more

The hitch height for this vehicle is about 19 3/4 of an inch. Keep in mind that this measurement may very due to tire size, hitch style, or other aftermarket accessories. We'll begin our test fit by by sliding the shank of the ball mount in the drop position into the opening of the hitch, and securing it with a pin and clip. We can then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform getting a measurement of about 11 3/4 of an inch. Now if your vehicle's hitch height matches ours, and your trailers ride height matches this measurement, this should be an appropriate ball mount for you. We can now flip the ball mount over to the rise position, and as you can see, the ball mount does come in contact with the spare tire, and prevents us from securing the ball mount with the pin and clip. more

Now if your vehicle hitch height matches our's and your trailer ride height matches this measurement, this should be an appropriate ball mount for you. We can now flip the ball mount over into the rise position and again measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform. We'll get a measurement of about 20-1/2 inches. more

To begin our test fit we'll first need to get our hitch height. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. We have a hitch height measurement of 17-1/2 inches. Please keep in mind that this measurement may vary due to the hitch style, tire size or after market accessories. Now we'll take our ball mount and install it in the drop position first, secure it by installing our pin and clip. We have a measurement from the ground to the top of our ball platform of 15-1/4 inches. Make sure that when you measure your trailer height you do so when your trailer is level. You want to measure from the ground to the bottom of your coupler, and if your measurement matches our's then this would be a good fit for you. We'll flip our ball mount over to the rise position, install independent clip, and we now have a measurement from the ground to the top of the ball platform of 17-3/4 inches. Once again if this measurement measures your trailer height measurement, then this would be a good fit for you. To begin our test fit we'll first need to get our hitch height. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. We have a hitch height measurement of 17-1/2 inches. Please keep in mind that this measurement may vary due to the hitch style, tire size or after market accessories. We'll go ahead and grab our ball mount and slide the shank of the ball mount in the drop position into the opening of the hitch securing it with the pin and clip. Now we'll measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and get a measurement of about 15 inches. Make sure when measuring your trailer height you do so when your trailer is level. You want to measure from the ground to the bottom of your coupler. If your measurement matches our's, then this would be a good fit for you. We'll now flip the ball mount over into the rise position.
